Handcrafted Poppets for Spell, Season, & Symbolism
Throughout history, figures made with corn husks & straw serve as humble yet potent forms, standing in for the body, the laboring hand, or the spirit of the field itself. Such dolls have long been crafted at the turning of the seasons, formed from the remnants of harvest & kept for protection, remembrance, or holding intention.
The Crimson Poppeteer draws from these agrarian folk traditions, handcrafting poppets, dolls, & effigies using dried corn husks, wheat straw, & other natural materials worked slowly in the manner of olde world craft. Each poppet is one of a kind. Variations in husk, form, wrapping, & dye occur in the crafting of each doll, carrying its own character to be matched with the ideal bearer or practitioner.
These poppets serve equally as ritual tool & as home adornment, some dyed & decorated to represent a deity or season. They can be employed in sympathetic magic, household rites, kept as guardians of the home, or treasured as folk artifacts.
